Drop issues
Firstly, I bought this cam the A31 had nothing but issue's with it staying connected despite cust support, they did a firmware update which messed it up even worse. So, I returned right at the last 3 days my thinking was ok lets go ahead an order Omni S20C this is an out door cam but used inside. It's even worse than the A31 even on SD mode hang spinning circle of death. Now for context I have a model that is 2 years older in shop and yeah it pukes once in awhile which is expected since even my shop computer gets a low wifi signal and is going through 6 walls @ 109' away otherwise been rock solid. Now S20C with antennas in the living room and 25' away should have no issues.....well it does. So to be impartial since the S20C has an Ethernet adapter for grins I put on an extender (not needed) no difference....OK so as a further test I took the camera down set it on my desk used a 6' cat7 patch cable same thing, here is caveat your required to at first use wifi for the initial connection THEN plug in your hard line which does nothing as far as I can tell both the mac code and the ip remain the same...which should change because the camera is DHCP. So then explain to me why my Fire stick (outside I might add) that is another 30' away actually behind the camera through a sliding glass door and all those walls including a stucco walls deliver 4k with zero stutter ? Constant reboots etc for 5 minutes of live video. I even upgraded my router because admittedly it was dated. There so called engineers have this so locked it takes a rocket scientist to get into the firmware which I did on the A31 it is the worst programming I have ever seen.. I already know what there answer will be typical text card instead of solutions. I am seriously thinking about returning this one and dumping the older camera and go with another brand. The problem with that is they all use the same Linux kernel and it is hit or miss on quality and as long as people buy them why bother fixing them? Wile I am here on the web browser you have almost zero options, what have an event button when it doesn't record to your computer ? They want you to pay for a plan that will record the spinning circle of death and or black screen and why can't you simply record the video via HTTP locally? Stupid.
