Sound Alerts Not Showing In Timeline or Recording

Just recently got an A31 camera as I am interested in the sound alerts. In testing the camera, i get notifications when sound is detected. However in the event timeline for the camera it only is recording clips for motion events. There is no recording when there is sound detected but no motion. I was under the impression that both motion and sound triggered a recording clip. Is there a setting i am missing to enable this or is this something that can be corrected?
